Review by hotel critic
During my stay at Hotel-Restaurant L'Auberge, I found the location to be superb. Situated amidst a myriad of dining options and cafes, the convenience of having everything within a stone's throw was a definite plus. For those looking to relax, the proximity to the cable car leading to Thermes Spa is a mere 5-minute stroll away, adding a luxurious touch to the stay. The room was kept impeccably clean, showcasing modern amenities and a surprisingly spacious bathroom. However, the room accessed through a slightly dingy staircase left something to be desired. For the price point, the value proposition was evident, although the cramped quarters of the executive twin room might not suit all guests. The breakfast served was adequate, offering the standard continental fare, and the friendly morning staff added a pleasant touch to the start of the day. Secure parking for vehicles was available nearby at a reasonable cost, catering to those arriving by motorbike or car.In summary, Hotel-Restaurant L'Auberge strikes a balance between affordability and luxury, making it a suitable choice for travelers seeking a convenient stay without compromising on comfort.
